issue with indicator from user app share

I downloaded an add-on from the user app share called Trust Me Bro – ATR, EMA, Trend Line and Levels posted 4/7/25 by WaleeTheRobot.

I added it to a chart, and it showed that it was calculating. I let it run for a while and nothing was happening. I ended up having to use windows task manager to close NT.

I tried removing the indicator by going to tools > remove ninjascript assembly, but it was not in the list. I then went to documents > ninjatrader8 > bin > custom >indicators and deleted the indicator.
But when I opened a chart and went to the indicator list the indicator was still there. I also went to new > ninjascript editor > ninjascript explorer > indicators and the indicator is not in that list.
Even though I deleted the indicator, and it does not show in my documents I can still add it to a chart, and it still tries to calculate. It is still necessary to use task manager to close NT if I do this.
Just having the indicator in the list without adding it to a chart does not appear to have any kind of negative impact on the platform.

I was told by NT support that the only way to remove the indicator from the list is to delete all third-party apps from NT. Then repair NT and then restore from a backup that does not have the indicator. For me this seems a little drastic and I'm leaning toward leaving well enough alone and living with the indicator in the list.
Is there any chance that doing so will negatively affect the functioning of the platform?

Can anyone suggest an easier way of correcting this issue?
I would have directly contacted the person who posted the indicator, but I don't see a way of sending a message directly to a user. Is there a way to do that?

    Thanks

You probably have the indicator saved in the workspace and NT is running the cached version, hmmm maybe not if you are adding it to a chart to see the problem. First, you should have removed the indicator assembly instead of deleting the .dll. You will have a reference to that indicator you will need to remove. Also delete the template/workspace that has the indicator.

      Hello Maestro79,

When you import a third party item that is source code (any item on the user app share) you need to use the NinjaScript editor to remove that item. After removing it you need to compile to remove the item, the new compiled assembly without that item is loaded. If you manually removed it you now need to go to the editor and compile. Then you need to resave the workspace while the item has been removed in case you saved any charts with that item applied.

I compiled. The indicator is no longer in the list.
        Thanks for the help.

Oh no you removed Trust Me Bro! I haven't experienced what you mentioned, but like others have said, it could be cached.

All good. Would have liked to keep it just for the name of the indi. . Doesn't surprise me that I'm the only one who had a problem with it. Seems to be a recurring theme with me and ninja.
