HeikenAshi8 is out of alignment.

Hi, I have just started to use NT8, so I am not familiar with NT8. Could you tell me how to fix this issue?

When I use built-in HeikenAshi Candle stays right position, but when I use HeikenAshi8 it's out of alignment.

Please see attached. In Pic1 which is built-in Candle is located on the right position, but in Pic2 it moves right a little bit. First of all I thought wick moves, but when I overlay two images I noticed Candle moves to right side not wick because both wicks stay same position.

These two show differently so I prefer to use HeikenAshi8. I guess many people think it doesn't affect performance, but I can't stop thinking about this "off-centered". Please help!! Thank you!!

Thank you for the message.

Since NinjaTrader didn't make the HeikenAshi8 bar type, we do not have any further documentation or information on why they would plot this way.

You would have to reach out to HekinAshi8's support team and ask them why this is happening and if anything can be done to change it moving forward.


The behavior above is possibly coming from the fact that Tick Based bars can happen at any rate. So, the bars will post at different times causing them to not line up exactly.

• It can take 10 seconds to build a 1000 Tick bar or it can take 5 minutes to build a 1000 Tick bar. It really depends on market volatility.
• So, NinjaTrader tries its best to draw the bar when it actually posted causing them to not line up exactly.

NinjaTrader_PaulH is no longer with NinjaTrader.

May I confirm you are updated to the latest release 8.1.3.1 and you are able to reproduce?

What is the bar type and interval you are selecting for the chart before adding the indicator?

Are there errors appearing on the log tab of the Control Center when the behavior occurs?

Thank you for your response.

Currently I am using 8.0. Just in case I added this to latest version, which is 8.1.3.1 (demo account on another PC), same behavior occurs.

Before adding this, I was using candlestick chart. Interval is vary but I confirmed this 'out of alignment' occurs on 1min, 5min, 1000Tick, 1500 Volume, even 3rd party's UniRenko.

Log doesn't say anything about this matter.
