Understanding color the plot NT indicator

Hello

I am trying to use the indicator that is in the ecosystem Color the plot as I understand it; if i add the indicator in the same panel as another indicator, it will detect when its plot is rising or falling and give me a color change..

Question 1:

within the indicator there is a SLOPE PERIOD option.. what does it do? if its looking up the indicator its added with.. then whatever lookback period that indicator is using, it should be using as well?

Question 2:
if i add it, and it successfully plots a colored line or background, does this mean that it could read and identify clearly the rising and falling parameters of the indicator that it added with, correct? in other words if it couldn't read the parameters of the rise/fall of the other indicator, it wouldn't plot at all or would it plot with errors? For example indicators where there is no clear positive or negative reading but rather an interpretation of the indicator movement. How will it plot a color, or will it not plot at all?

The LINE plot is the actual LBR3/10 and it changes from red to blue..... I added the CTP+LBR310 on the same panel and configured it to color the background only...

You can see a clear mismatch between the color of the actual oscillator and the background color created by the CTP+LBR combo

Could someone help me with what is going wrong here, especially I would like to use it in a strategy builder but now it looks like it plotting different than the actual indicator

Is there someone who have experience with color the plot indicator who can help? or should I forgo trying to use it.

Hello mghorab,

In regard to the video it looks like that has been deleted so unfortunately we won't know what the original videos content contained.

To better understand how that indicator is working and how its properties control its logic would require going through the logic and tracing how that script works when run. There are not going to be any kind of directions or other information about that item since its custom so debugging it would be the best option to learn more about it.
