"Cover 1/2 position on bid" hotkey script

Hello,

Does anyone know if it possible to create a hotkey to cover 1/2 your position on the bid?

Example: Say you short 10 contracts and ES flushes instantly and you want to cover out half your position on the bid instead of trying to go to your order quantity and changing it to 5 as sometimes you don't have enough time to do so.

Please let me know if you know how!!! It would be greatly appreciated.

The default hotkey system wouldn't have a way to do that. You could do that in the superdom however its a button and not a hotkey. The superdom has quick buttons for ask and bid that can be enabled in the properties menu. That would let you specify a quantity like 10 before clicking to submit the order at the ask/bid price.

You can also detect key events in NinjaScript so that would in theory be possible to do by using the addon framework. If you had questions about creating an item like this please make another post about that in the NinjaScript development sub forum. Any other users that know of an existing item that does that can also write in here.

Hello, that really is a bummer, all other brokers I have accounts with allow this feature. It would be great if Ninja could implement this feature.
