Potential ATM conflict with automated strategy

    Hi all,

When you run an automated strategy, is it always recommended to set the ATM strategy to none in chart trader?

I have an ATM strategy with fixed stop loss and take profit by currency. And I generally leave it on while running my automated strategy with a different set of TP and SL.

I noticed that my strategy performance differs significantly from actual trade performance, and the difference may be roughly attributed to whether I have ATM1 checked on/off in the template.. I am not entirely sure if true

Question - 1. does my strategy attached make any calls to my existing ATM settings? 2. and if not, what else can cause a big variance between strategy and trade performance while autotrading?

    Hello linterstellar,

The selection of the AtmStrategy template drop-down on a chart with Chart Trader or a SuperDOM (or other trade window) will not affect a NinjaScript Strategy, however placing or modifying orders manually or adjusting the position will likely cause the strategy to become out of sync with the Account.

    The post below has details.
