BollingerArticle Strategy NT8 doesn't seem to work

I downloaded and installed this strat. Enabled it on a 15 minute chart on the ES.

It doesn't seem to ever enter a trade. Is this user error?

Hello ZivGillat,

The two first questions are is there data and new bars appearing on the chart?

The second is: is the strategy showing as enabled on the Strategies tab of the Control Center?


If its getting data and it's on, then either the logic conditions didn't evaluate as true or orders are being ignored or cancelled.

It will be necessary to use prints and TraceOrders to understand why.

Enable TraceOrders, print the time of the bar and all values used in the conditions that submit entry orders.
Save the output from the output window to a text file and provide this with your next post.

I am having the same issue, was this resolved? Does the strategy only work on a certain instrument and/or timeframe? Thanks

Hello ZivGillat,

Using prints i found the ToDay(Time[0]) > 20000101 && ToDay(Time[0]) < 20180901 prevents the script from placing trades.

Try removing this.
