Importing tick data

Hi,

I am trying to import tick ES data for year 2014. I called file ES.Last.cvs. NT8 imports it successfully but puts all data under symbol ES type Stock, not under ES Future. How to make it to put it under ES Future symbol?

Hello,

The name of the file would help delegate what instrument the data is loading into.

We have some guidelines listed in this page: http://ninjatrader.com/support/helpG.../importing.htm

There are some examples that show the filename format which needs to match the instrument being imported into:

ES 12-09.Bid.txt for the S&P E-mini December contract bid price data

For a Futures instrument, it would be the Instrument name followed by the contract month for the data being imported. This is followed by the type of data, Ask Bid or Last.

You can remove the imported data using the Tools -> historical data tool. Next change the file name and then re import the data to correct this.
