    Says Disconnected but stays connected

Sometimes when I disconnect from NT8, the connection icon goes dark and the log says disconnected...but some of the charts continue to draw new information. This will continue until I reconnect and disconnect or exit the tool. Some C# Locking issue.

And it has happened more than once. I am using Windows 10 and have multiple charts on multiple desktops (could be related as there is some window focus issue also (reported separately).

    Hello,

I will need to see your log and trace for today look further into this inquiry.

Could you please send me your log and trace files from within NinjaTrader. Go to Control Center-->Help-->EMail Support in NinjaTrader. Put 'Att AlanP', in the subject field and enable 'Log and trace files'.

I look forward to your message.

This was happening to me the other day again and after looking more closely I think was was really happening (at least this time) is that the rendering of a chart or two suddenly gets so slow that it falls behind more than a minute or two. So even after a disconnect it is drawing new bars to catch up. I must exit and re-enter NT8 to reset the condition and then its fine.

I will chase down this possibly bad custom indicator issue in another thread so no need to request workspace/etc. For this thread I offer up the idea of NT8 adding some type of general watchdog per chart/indicator that prevents draw requests from stacking up.

          Hello Crokusek,

Can you please confirm your PC clock is set to sync with the correct server?

Please use the steps below to change your Time Zone and sync the PC clock, note to set the server to time.nist.gov.

You can sync your PC clock by double clicking on the clock in the lower right corner of your desktop. Press 'Change time zone...' Set the Time zone and press 'OK'.

Once you have done that, click on Internet Time tab set the server to time.nist.gov and then click Update. Your PC clock should now be updated.

I look forward to your reply.
