Run NT8 on two different pc's?

I have a home laptop and office PC. Can I run my subscription on both?

Thank you for your post,

You can have the license entered in both installations of NinjaTrader, though both cannot be used at the same time; the license can only be used on one actively running instance of NinjaTrader at a time.

If you do need to use NinjaTrader on both PCs simultaneously, you can use our simulated license on one PC that you don't plan to trade live from (see below). If you need to trade live from both simultaneously, an additional license will be needed.

As a note, most broker data feeds only allow for one connection at a time. So if you did need a simultaneous connection, this could be enabled by your broker. If not, you'd likely receive an error when attempting to connect in both locations.

Hi Eric,

That's my problem, depending on if I am home or office, I need to have both running for trading. I use IB gateways (two logins) for data. No way to authorize two PC's for a subscription? Ensign does this.

Also, if I put one of them in to sim mode with the sim key, will I have to reload the other NT? The reason is that I lose all IB volume data when I have to restart. Minute, daily is fine.

If both PCs are needed for simulations live trading, you'll need to lease an additional license. PlatformSales[At]NinjaTrader[dot]com will be able to advise any details.

You'll not need to reload NinjaTrader, just changing the keys will put the other PC always in simulation.
