NinjaTrader 8 unstable with Kinetick data feed.

NT 8 when connected occasionally disconnects from Kinetick Real Time data feed.

NT 8 does not reconnect automatically. The connection is shown as red and reamins red. Disconnecting via Connections -> Kinetick Realtime -> Disconnect does not work when this has happened. The Kinetick Adapter is frozen.

Only way to reconnect is to shut down NT 8 and restart it.

This is happening regularly with NinjaTrader 8, but never happened with NinjaTrader 7.

Currently the trace file is full with other information. I will do when it is cleaner than today.

I have further information now.

It happens when I walk away. After 30 minutes the PC switches to the power saving mode. When this happens, the data feed is paused (expected),

When I reenter my Windows password, after I have come back, the data connection remains disfunct. Today it was possible to disconnect. This is the message on the trace file:

After disconnecting, it was impossible to reconnect. Any attempt to reconnect would fail and leave no message on the trace file.

After shuttting down NinjaTrader 8, I was not able to restart it. I could only restart NinjaTrader 8, after I had shut down NinjaTrader 7 which was running in parallel. I am mentioning this, because the fact that NinjaTrader 7 was running at the same time (disconnected of course) may have an impact on the behavior of NinjaTrader 8. I will try to check whether NinjaTrader 8 behaves in the same fashion, when NinjaTrader 7 is not up and running.

NinjaTrader 7 is capable of reestablishing the connection after being disconnected.

NinjaTrader 7 shows a different behavior under the same conditions. When I walk away and come back later, NinjaTrader 7 automatically reconnects and the data feed works.
