Connect to IB / historical data

How can I deactivate the download of historical data in NT8? In NT7 I could choose to do not load historical data from IB.

Thank you for your post.

In order to disable the download of historical data first go to Tools>Options>Market Data...

Once on this menu use the drop down under General labled 'Preferred connections - historical'

Make sure each field says 'None' by using the subsequent drop down menus.

Lastly, scroll down slightly, under 'Historical' un-check 'Get data from server'.

This will disable your historical data downloads. Please note that you will still have historical data from your live sessions as that is recorded to your local PC.
