Backtest Data Provider

Hi, I am using TDAmeritrade but that only gives 13 months of minute bars of historical data. I also have IB though haven't connected them to NT7. How can I get multiyear historical tick data - does IB have that, does Kinetick for $55+exchange fee have it ?

Also where can I find the spec of the historical data (ie: what fields are available; when is the data downloaded - I noticed that running a backtest is no faster than a large Optimization run - I run 6months chunks of 1-minute data per instrument, and optimization on 100+ parameter values)

Thank you for your post.

Interactive Brokers and Kinetick would not have multi-year historical tick data. Interactive Brokers does not supply historical tick data in NinjaTrader and Kinetick's historical tick data goes back 180 days when outside market hours (market hours = 9:30am ET to 4:30pm ET).

Historical data if available is downloaded when loading a chart or running a backtest or optimization while connected to your data feed provider. You can also download historical data through the Historicla Data Manager (Tools > Historical Data Manager > Download).
