Questions on recording live market data

Hi,

I'm thinking of recording my own live market data (level 1 and 2). I have a few questions which I would like to clarify.

For the level 2 recording to work, do I need to have my SuperDOM window visible at all times, or can I simply minimize them. Also, if I use the tabs on the SuperDOM, will the level 2 data still be recorded for all the instruments?

I'm also concerned about the performance impact on my system. Does the recording process take use up much more system resources?

When recording data you can have the window minimized in the taskbar and yes data will be recorded for all instrument in each tab as well.

Yes recording data will take up resources while this data is written to the file. If you do not want to record data we do store replay data on our servers for most popular Futures and Forex instruments and can be downloaded by going to Tools->Historical Data->Load tab->Get Market Replay data.
