Ninja Script - Show Bid & Ask with Spread Cost on Chart

I've found this Ninja Script to cause freeze ups and crashes when switching between workspaces, normally requires a reboot to resolve.

    Hello ab1000,

    Thank you for writing in.

Just to clarify, are you referring to this custom script? http://www.ninjatrader.com/support/f...d=7&linkid=776

I am unable to see this behavior occur on my end.

So we may test this further, can you please clarify the following?
    • Are you using this indicator on all of your workspaces?
    • Do you have any other custom scripts in your platform?
    • How many workspaces do you have open?
    • Can you please provide specific reproducible steps so I may test on my end?

      Hi Thanks for responding.

Yes you are correct that is the indicator in your link

I am Trading FXCM Spot Forex Markets, not Futures

In answer directly to your questions:-
      1) Yes I am using this on all open workspaces, but in each workspace there are only 2 charts open, the chart I am using this indicator on is a 2 Range Bar (on FXCM SPOT FOREX that equates to 20)
      2) Yes a few, but these are not being used on any workspaces or any charts
      3) 4
      4) Open 4 workspaces, in each one open 2 charts of the same instrument, 1 using 2 Range Bars (20 on FXCM Spot) and 1 using say a 30 min chart, place that indicator on each of the Range bar charts in each workspace, and then switch between the workspaces randomly, you will notice a pause occur and the spread will initially look larger than it is until data in received at which point it will revert to the correct spread.

Basically switching between workspaces should create the problem.

UPDATE: I now have 9 Workspaces open without that indicator on any of them and the problem has gone away.

As a further Help just in case its related to decimal places etc, here are the Instruments Im trading. AUDUSD, EURCHF, EURGBP, EURJPY, EURUSD, GBPUSD, USDCAD, USDCHF, USDJPY

      Thanks

        Hello ab1000,

Can you please provide your workspaces (with the crashing reproducible on your end) as well as your log and trace files so I may investigate further?

Please ensure that the workspaces provided only have the Show Bid & Ask with Spread Cost on Chart indicator added and no other indicators.

You can do this by going to the Control Center-> Help-> Email Support.

Please ensure that Log and trace files is checked. Additionally, click on the arrow next to Other files and check Workspace files and UI settings.

Please reference both a link to this thread and my name in the body of the email.
