Yet another instance of conflicting data between NT7 and NT8. Here I have identical instrument and time frame with the NT8 chart over the NT7 chart. Clearly the price action illustrates a different picture between the two. We have definitely been able to narrow down what is occurring to a difference in session templates.

I would like to ask if you could verify that your session templates are identical on your end in NT7 and NT8. Could you review these screens and let me know if they have the same information?

In NT8 :

• Control Center -> Trading Hours
• Templates -> CME US Index Futures ETH

In NT7 :

• Tools -> Session Manager
• Session Template -> CME US Index Futures ETH

If these differ in any way, or if they are the same but you continue to notice discrepancies, please manually force each chart to use the CME US Index Futures RTH template by selecting your charts in NT7 and NT8, pressing ctrl + f, and changing the setting that says "<Use instrument setting>" to this session template.


Should you force both charts to use the same RTH template, and you still notice discrepancies, please let us know. Please let us know also if this brings data into sync between the versions.

That's not the same data. Like you mentioned in the other video - it's off by 7 points or so in historical.

I'm going to venture to say that the final bar which is BIG is not real. That is probably correct live data coming in.

Thank you for providing that video, but if you will review the video, you will notice that the session end times are different for the ETH session in both NT versions. This is to be expected, as it is this way on my end, and this will also account for some of the discrepancy in your data.

Could I ask for you to complete these steps and send me a similar video? Thank you in advance.

We've been pounding this issue out for months now. The NT team has been very helpful and I am certain it will be solved shortly.

I am fairly certain that if you set up 2 charts to trade with RTH hours, or you modify your ETH charts so that they both close at 16:00 , this will resolve your query.

As I mentioned in my previous post, if you review your video, you will notice that out of the box NT8 has different close hours for ETH between versions 7 and 8.

Your video also did not contain you visiting the data series window and changing to the RTH template for both of your charts, instead of using instrument settings. Please note that I am asking for RTH here, not ETH. You can bring this up by selecting a chart and pressing ctrl + f.

If you were doing this already, please let me know.
