    NT7 - NT8 Different bars quantity on same charts

    Please, look at attachment.

    I loaded CL 07-17 tick data from same Continuum demo connection into NT7 and NT8.

    And I got very different charts with different 1 range bars quantity.

    Why?

    It looks that problems began after last expiration.

    Both charts use same Default 24x7 session template.

    You might want to post this in another thread that was recently started regarding what looks like the same problem you described.

      My first post was here. And, as Ricam proposed, I'll post futher here.

      I started NT7 and NT8 on Windows 10 x64.

      I chose instrument M6 (future on Mexican peso), on that I never had loaded any history before.

      Than I made same demo Continuum account with same password and login on both NT7 and NT8.

      Than I loaded "M6 06-16" into NT7 and NT8.

      Session templates - by default, global merge policy "Merge back adjusted".

      Than I run same strategy on "M6 06-16" "1 Range" from 01.01.2016 to 01.05.2016 on both NT7 and NT8:

      Code:
      			if( Time[1].Date != Time[0].Date )
      			{
      				Print( Time[1].Date +" ; "+ Bars_In_Day );
      				Bars_In_Day = 0;
      			}
      			Bars_In_Day++;
      And than I paste results from output to Excel and subtract daily bars quantity NT8 from NT7.

      Results on screenshot, zipped excell file attached.

          I relocated this post since I am not sure that this issue is related to the other thread Ricam referenced.

          In this specific example, it might be possible that the data is different since NT8 is using NT8 historical servers that are in beta. There can be data gaps on these servers.

          I tested M6E checking last Friday's date and 1 range bars are both identical using Continuum.

              We have identified an issue with NT8 range bar construction. It has been given a tracking ID of NTEIGHT-9906.

              Thanks for reporting.

                I checked CL (Crude Oil) in same way.
                Excel and screenshot in attachment.

                All data was loaded from same Continuum demo account.

                  That's for posting your findings. The issue was identified with Range bars so would be independent of instruments/data sources.
