    Data corruption - Kinetick is not helping

    Hello -

    I keep getting corrupt data on the daily chart in NT8.
    Kinetick doesn't know what is going on.

    Look at the second bar in this chart - should be April 7th - says April 6th.
    Last bar is correct - it is April 8th.

    Always skips a day!!

    Please see my response below to email you sent me.

    Can you please tell me what time zone your PC clock uses.

    Please right click in the chart and select 'Data Series'. What setting is selected for 'Trading hours'? If set to <Use instrument settings>, please go to Control Center-->Tools-->Instruments. Type GC and double click the GC futures. Please tell me what setting you have selected for 'Trading hours'.

    In addition, please go to Control Center-->Tools-->Options-->General. Let me know what you have selected for 'Time zone'.

      Hello -

      In Trading Hours (under Control Center-->Tools-->Instruments. Type GC and double click the GC futures) it says Nymex Metals - Energy ETH.

      Under Tools -> Options ->General -> TimeZone -> UTC-5:00 Eastern Time (U.S. and Canada)

          My Time Zone (UTC 5 - eastern).

          I am attaching 2 screenshots showing the data for this week.
          Again - incorrect.

          Last bar is April 12 - which is next day - and that should be there.
          But the bar before is April 8th - should be April 11th and the third bar should be April 8th.

            Thank you for clarifying.

            I changed my PC clock to US Eastern time zone and used the same NinjaTrader settings. However daily bars are time stamped properly on my end.

            Can you please shut down NinjaTrader 8 and navigate to Documents-->NinjaTrader 8-->db. Delete the day and cache folders. Start NinjaTrader and check if data is loaded as expected in the daily GC ##-## chart.

              Hello -

              I deleted the day & cache folder as requested after closing NT 8 and restarting.
              I am attaching screen shots of the 1st and 2nd bar on my GC Daily: they are April 13th and April 11th respectively.

              Missing April 12th!!

                Can you please go to Control Center-->Tools-->Historical Data. Double click GC ##-##-->Last-->Day-->2016. Do you see the same values as my screenshot or is April 12th missing there as well?

                  The historical data: GC ##-##-->Last-->Day-->2016 shows April 14th as the last day (see attached screenshot).

                  Notice today, my dailies show April 15th as the last bar and April 13th as the second last bar!

                  Something is amiss!

                    If you check the OHLC values for the daily bar that is time stamped as April 15th in the chart and compare it to the OHLC values in the Historical Data window for April 14th, do they match?

                      It is Sunday. The bars on the chart and data in the Historical Data GUI are now matching.
                      I will have to wait until this occurs again during the week.

                        Hello -

                        Please find attached the databox for the last bar on the chart - which says April 19th.
                        Note the data on April 18th in the historical data dialogue.

                        They do not match.

                          I do not see this 4/19 daily bar on my end when I now test a daily GC ##-## chart. Do you currently still see the 4/19 bar on your end? If not, am I correct the issue only occurs between certain hours of the day?

                          Can you please send me your log and trace files. Go to Control Center-->Help-->Email Support in NinjaTrader. Put 'Att Jason, Data corruption - Kinetick is not helping' in the subject field and enable 'Log and trace files'.

                            Now the last bar is April 20th, the second last April 18th.
                            I think I have attached enough screenshots to show the bug.

                            I have send the logs using the Email Support functions you have requested.

                              I have the same problem but it seems to be related to chart display. It happens on minute and daily charts. I slide the horizontal ribbon back and forth to correct the display. I usually get the problem when switching between time periods.

                              Hope this helps.
