Placing Chart Tab Strip vertically on the left

Since I mostly stack charts vertically I find that tab strip at the bottom is taking quite a lot of space so I thought it would be neat being able to move entire tab strip to the left of a chart and transform the text by 270 angle. I would hope this should be possible from the level of skin xaml but before I embark on the trial and error searching for the right properties I wanted:
a) confirm this is possible
b) can you list the properties that we can change or better yet provide a sample moving the tabstrip
c) is tab strip part of chart control or is chart control inside a tab control?

While asking those questions I think I already know some answers. It seems the tab control is the same for all the NT8 windows which brings another question:
Can the placement of the tab strip be changed only for one control (chart in this case) and left at the bottom for other windows?
