    Genetic Optimization Boolean Error on NT8b10?

    Hello all, I'm preforming genetic optimization on my strategy and have some boolean variables. After doing an optimization these boolean variables (I believe) report incorrect results. For example, I leave the setting True;True;1 and after optimization I get a report back as False; True;True;1 (see attached pic)

    I don't know if this is a new optimization "feature" or just a bug. i.e. I don't know if the optimization is defaulted to "Optimize" on the boolean variable based on my settings. Any insight would be appreciated.

      Is IsInstantiatedOnEachOptimizationIteration set to true or false for your script?

      How are these variables being initialized and reset? (Is this done in State.Historical?)

      Do you have a sample with just a couple bools to demonstrate the behavior?

        As I was not able to get an example script from you that reproduces the behavior, I have created a test script to test this, but I am not able to reproduce the behavior.

        The bool when true allows for trades to be made. When false no trades are made. This is to demonstrate the value the script is using internally and compare this with the state of the value in the summary parameters.

        Are you able to reproduce the behavior using the attached script?

          Sorry for the late reply. I used your example and got the same error. Attached is a screen shot. I optimized using 8 range chart with tick replay option set to true. I used ES 06-16 instrument with date range 03-13-16 to 03-24-16.
