Simultaneous live connection to IB with NT 7 and NT 8?

Is is possible to connect to an IB account simultaneously on the same machine using NT7 and NT8? I know that NT 7 goes through TWS and that NT 8 has another adapter it can use, but can they both co-exist? And if a live order is placed in one, will it show up in the other one and also in TWS (if placed through NT8)? Thanks!

If you have two instances of TWS open on different ports, NinjaTrader 7 can connect to one port and NinjaTrader 8 can connect to another.

Whether you can have two instances of TWS open on the same account, and whether they communicate with each other, is dependent upon TWS. I did not test this configuration, as we do not provide support for their platform.

However, just now, I have tested the following configuration:

Instance 1
Account 1
Port 7496
NinjaTrader 7 connected

Instance 2
Account 2
Port 7497
NinjaTrader 8 connected
