EMA plot of BST volume not plotting on "TickReplay" values

As we all know we can add an EMA of an eg. RSI by selecting Input as RSI.
However, when selecting an Input indicator using Tick Replay as a historical fill, the historical values are non-existent to the EMA. ie. the EMA of the BST only plots a value on live values of the BST.

Is this a bug or is "Tick Replay" values just 'virtual' values that do not exist to an external indicator?

I really didn't want to have to hard code an EMA (or whatever) into every Tick Replay indicator I have

Hi Simon.

This is a bug. We'd expect the Tick Repay to be called even in a hosted instance as you have demonstrated. This has been worked on by our team under NTEIGHT-9371 and I added a reference to your specific test case for them to check out as well.
