Referencing Assemblies

Hello,

I'm trying to reference the Entity Framework assemblies from within the NinjaTrader.Custom solution but I'm having an issue. (EF 6.1.3 for .NET 4.5)

I've added a reference to the EF assemblies (both through VS.NET and the NT Script Editor). The issue is when I have code that uses the types in these EF assemblies I get 2 pop-up error dialog boxes (see attachment).

I actually get these 2 pop-up error dialog boxes when I reference and use ANY external assembly for that matter. Just referencing (within NT Script Editor) doesn't cause the issue. Its when I reference and then actually USE the types within those references assemblies is when I experience this issue. Any ideas what is wrong?

Thank you for your post.

Where are the external assemblies located on your PC? If they are not in the NinjaTrader 8\bin\Custom folder please place them there and change the references to the corrected directory.

Thanks Patrick. Moving the assemblies to the NinjaTrader 8\bin\Custom folder worked!

Is there anyway to have NT point to assemblies in another directory?

No. But there should be.

Hello Ed,

NinjaTrader compiles as a project, so you have to include the needed libraries in the bin\Custom directory.
