NT8B8 - Playback-M.R. - Trades don't fill in until completion

    NT8B8 - Playback-M.R. - Trades don't fill in until completion

    You don't know where you enter other than "OrderFilled" on the chart until the trade completes as there is no marker or text.

    Hello sledge,

    If the 'Plot executions' setting in the Data Series window is set to either Text and market or markers only, filled orders will be marked on the chart for the selected instrument and account

      Looks like I need to make a video.

      What I'm saying is if your strategy enters, there is no marker until the target or stop loss is filled. Then both entry and exit are visible.

        I even ran with default graphics, intel HD graphics P530.

          I created a new workspace, and did a new chart with no tabs.

          I thought I turned on chart trader hidden.

          Anyways - I got my entry fill notice when it was taken.
          But - I redid the test, and it isn't working again.


          I killed that chart and started again - with no chart trader hidden. Nothing until the trade completed.

              Yes. Closed current workspace. Open my blank one. Added chart. Added SampleMACrossover.

                  I didn't see anything specificly related in the 8.0.0.9 release notes, but after testing NT8B9 - it is still an issue.

                    sledge, thank you for your feedback. I see the same too with the newest version.

                    Product Management is still looking into this, and I am unaware as of when this will be resolved.

                      I'm still seeing this on Beta10.

                      There's an open trade short that should be at 10:00am on the chart. This was at max replay.

                      I did have crosshairs activated on the chart in order to test performance, but doubt this mattered. I only set the start date in Playback. So connected to playback, changed date, added strategy to 3 tabs, and put on max and hit play. Stopped it while trade was open.

                        sledge, we appreciate the time that you take in testing NinjaTrader 8.

                        I contacted PM in regards to this and is currently working on this. I'm still unaware of when this will be resolved.

                          Having attempted to test this in several different ways including using your strategy, the video you provided, and your most recent message, I have not been able to reproduce this behavior. With that being said, I do not have the playback data necessary to recreate your tests exactly.

                          To make sure we are on the same page and to ensure timely resolution from this point, would you mind recreating using current market replay data (w/dates < 1 month ago) and providing specific steps to reproduce? If not reproducible with SampleMACrossOver strategy, also please include a test strategy. If requires older market replay data, please include that as well.

                            The only 2 other things I can think of is that
                            1) data is recorded from NT7 and imported into NT8.
                            2) I have my zoom adjusted.


                            I'll run some tests this weekend Unzoomed to see if that helps, and if that's not the issue, get a very specific layout and day of data that causes it and submit everything.

                              So absolutely no other testers out there even sees this even with Chart Trader?

                              Entering trades and not getting any markers?
