NT8 (Beta8) - IB Gateway - API Settings

NT,

The NT8.0.0.8 IB connection guide appears a little out. Please find attached a screenshot of my view of the API settings.

The additional setting in question is "Read-Only API" which when selected displays all information including orders and trades, but does not allow any type of modification (i.e. submitting a trade).

If I am to understand this specification correctly, to trade via NT would require this "Read-Only API" setting to be deselected. Please confirm.

Where NT8 (B8) uses IB Gateway and not IB Traders Workstation (TWS), does this mean we can revert TWS to version 944.3 for use with NT?

Thank you for your post.

With "Read-Only API" enabled you will be able to connect however in order to trade this option would need to be disabled.

Correct you can have both TWS 944.3 installed for use within NInjaTrader 7 and IB Gateway 954.4 installed for use with NinjaTrader 8.
