Referenced indicators erroring out

Hi,
I converted my NT7 indicators to NT8 using this handy utility:

Now all my indicators that reference another indicator's bool variable or have a test condition error out like this one:

// price above trendline
&& AutoTrendH(true,true,5).TrendPrice < Close[0]

The error thrown is CS0118, ..<name of indicator> is a 'type' but is used like a 'variable'

Any ideas?

Thank you for the question.

I would be unsure what the code changes were that the linked converter made, but it seems there is some errors in the resulting code it generated.

Did you convert multiple items and then just place them into the respective folders or had you done these individually to ensure they worked correct? By the error it may be that the NinjaScript generated code that goes in the bottom of each indicator is missing.

In general I would not suggest using a converter as you miss out on learning the code changes if you will be programming going forward these are pretty key points.

Otherwise if you want to use a converter, you may need to reply back to the author to find the reason for this happening with the converter, as for your current code without a sample of the indicators I would not really be able to say what the exact problem is based on what was provided.

Do you have any simple examples you could create that demonstrate the error? If so that would likely be the easiest way to answer what may be happening here.
