NT8 on Win 7 or Win 10

Looking to get a new computer and i have the option of getting Win 7 64bit or win 10.. I prefer Win 7, but want to know what NT8 will perform better, now and in the future.

You may use NinjaTrader 8 on either Windows 7 or Windows 10 as they are both supported.

While I do not have an official recommendation, a newer operating system will have the latest updates and be supported by Microsoft for the greatest amount of time in the future.

Hello sesplin,

I was in the same position as you are now. I preferred Win7 since it was so stable and I knew so well.

But I did decided to move on to Win10 for the same reasons as Patrick mentioned. I primarily wanted long-term support from Microsoft and I want to get the most comprehensive version of windows available for NT and my trading system.

I`ve been using Win10 for the last 4 months. I find it as stable as Win7 and does most everything faster.
