    Daily interval error

    Hello,

I see am unusuall behavior: when I draw an draw element on chart (attached all chart) the daily chart offsetes the drawing element and doesen't draw exactly. I've attacehed an picture. I've drawn an trend channel and on the daily chart this is offset. On the 1440 min (1 Day) interval chart is correctly the same trend channel.
    I'm using 8.0.07.
other: When I'd like to zoom in in daily chart, the cross hair will be thicker but at min chart not (it would be very good). the daily chart omit some chart datas and there is problem with days to look method. It will not loaded all day datas as I set to it. the min chart works correctly.

      Hi rontrade,

The charts in your screenshot aren't set with a matching scale on the x-axis. If the x-axis is compressed or expanded on one chart, but on the other it is not, you should expect drawing objects to look a little different on the one that is compressed/expanded vs the one that is not. If you recreate these charts and don't adjust the scaling of either the x-axis or y-axis, your drawing objects will be identical on both charts. As soon as you expand or compress either the x-axis or y-axis, you'll see them change to compensate for the difference in scale; they still represent the same information.

I'm not seeing what you mean by the cross hair being thicker when you zoom in on your daily chart but not your minute chart. On my end they would appear to be exactly the same, thin crosshair. What are the exact steps to reproduce the thick crosshair behavior you mentioned?

        Hello Alex,

thanks for respond. Where can I set the matching scale on the x/y-axis?
The corsshair: I mean, I'd like to zoom in, sometimes an thicker crosshair appears at the origin, somtimes not. What is the reason, how can I always see it at all zoom in?
I've attached pictures, where can be seen the thicker crosshair when I using zoom in.

other question in this subject: how can I set the chart, where the chart won't be scale out among the y-axis? I mean: when I move the chart the y-axis will be automatically expand/compressed and the y-axis will be changed the hight of the same range bar automatically. I'd like to off it to see the same hight of an given bar range at all circumstance. But when I expand/compressed manually, then will appear an "F" at right up side. But in this situation if I move the chart won't be shown the whole chart, and I should move it by hand among y-axis. What should I do, to see the whole chart and the bar range (etc: 10 pip) remain the same hight without rescaling?
I've tried to set using Chart Panel, but I didn't find any good settings.
        thanks Ron

            Hi rontrade,

Your crosshair there actually shouldn't look like that, normally they don't have a bolded 'center'. Have you changed the Crosshair properties in the right-click > Properties menu? Can you tell me about your PC hardware, specifically your graphics card?

Also, have you attempted to disable auto scale to see if that makes the scaling on your charts function more as you'd expect? To disable auto scale, right-click on your chart > left-click Data Series > uncheck 'Auto Scale' > left-click OK.

              Hello,

              thanks for reply.
I've disablled it but nothing changed. The chart will automatically scale out to the window. When I'd disable won't the chart auto scale to window and the distance of the y-scale on screen will be the same? What would be the function of auto scale? How can I fix the the distance y-scale as in free mode?

                Hi rontrade,

The 'Auto Scale' property will take the data series into consideration when scaling your chart. There is not a way to set scaling back to default short of creating a new chart, so I will submit a feature request on your behalf to the development team to include this functionality in the future.

Your PC specs seem to suggest that your graphics hardware does not support hardware rendering, which may explain why you're running into bolded crosshairs and unexpected behavior with the zoom tool. Can you send your trace files to platformsupport [AT] ninjatrader [DOT] com for further investigation?

You'll locate those files in your (My) Documents\NinjaTrader 8\trace folder. Just zip up all the .txt files in that folder and attach them to your message. In the body of the message, type "ATTN: Alex" so it makes it to the right person.
