Change Forum Auto-Logout Time

Apologies for posting this in the NT8 General Discussion, but I can't find a forum about the forum, and I couldn't find in the User Control Panel a way to change the auto log-out time. Is it possible to change the time? I am not sure what it is, but it is much too short for me.

Currently there is not an option to change this within the settings however I have submitted your suggestion to our development team and will follow up as soon as a tracking number has been assigned.

i support that.

this forum logs me out about every 5 minutes which is a hassle. if you are logged in and refresh another tab where you weren't logged in the forum will also log you out. this stuff with the duration of the sessions is quite annoying, it's not like anyone is doing online banking or posting delicate information in these fora.

I second that, it is a huge pain having to re-log to the forum every five minutes. I was going to post this up myself but did not get to it. I kept getting logged off.

What browser on what operating system are you folks talking about? I NEVER have to relogin. I log in once, and that is pretty much it. Even after rebooting, I do not have to login again. I pretty much point my browser at the forum and am still logged in.

• Are you asking the forum to remember your login?
• Do you have some aggressive cookie-manager that is deleting your cookies?

Same here. No issues with Firefox.

But then again, I rarely delete cookies.

The only thing that I can surmise is that you have some program deleting your cookies. Do you have some kind of cleanup manager? Have you enabled some setting that removes all your data, or even just cookies, when you close your browser?

i have been having these problems with this fora since i first registered.


i have only used chrome to access these fora, and it has been the same hassle no matter if i'm using the regular or incognito mode.


i do use ccleaner every couple of months or so, and i have an antivirus, plus spybot s&d and spywareblaster running all the time. still, i don't have this kind of issues with email services or any other websites that require a login. it is only nt fora and it has been a constant nuisance since i started posting here.
