Error with Path in SetDefault State

Hello NT8 Team,

I wrote a test indicator to export tick data to a file.
There is some error in one way than other.

If i set path in SetDefault state then Log shows the error of instance and this happens just before indicator dialogue box loads up. After error pops my indicator is not available in indicator selection dialogue. Though there is no compile error.

But when i set path in Configure state then no error anywhere and indicator works perfect.

Can you explain cause of this behavior ?

I see path setting in SetDefault state working in below example, whats different in my case ?

This is occurring because you are attempting to access Instrument.MasterInstrument.Name in State.SetDefaults.

You are unable to access this in SetDefaults.
