NT8 Playback-MR with Intel Speed Stepping

The performance is horrible.

Task manager was showing 3.13ghz, but performing like a dog. MAX speed was definitely barely over 1000x, and I'd even lay claim it was WORSE than 1000x.

I turned it off in BIOS, and the laptop appears to be smoking fast now.

Well if anyone else has it enabled, try turning it off. (Intel Xeon CPU E3-1505M v5 @ 2.8GHz).

This is on Windows 10. I guess there is no way to run NT8 without it...probably as OS level. I did try setting priority to HIGH, but I don't think it helped. If anyone has any ideas, I'd be happy to hear.

NOPE. I spoke too soon.

Is Windows 10 that finicky? Is it this latest generation laptop? I better return it quick if so and get the older model.

I turned off indexing on C:\ and turned off auto updates, turned off all the Win10 fluff from articles online, removed Norton... I give up tonight.

It's like it wants to be fast but is being held back.

No charts or strategies. Smoking.
Add 1 strategy,looks fast as expected.
Add 7 more on different ES contracts which all play at a separate time and it slows down...

I think I've narrowed it down to this application. If I disabled it - NT8 Playback Appears to run faster. I don't see much difference turning anything else.

If I enable it - it slows down a lot. We are talking 3 days at max speed in 10 minutes vs. 3 weeks in 10 minutes.

This new laptop is still slower than the previous generation model.

I'll have to do some stopwatch and side-by-side testing when I get a chance.
