Adding elements to Toolbar

In NT7 I used the following to add elements to the toolbar for a chart. How do I accomplish this in NT8?

Control[] tscontrol = ChartControl.Controls.Find("tsrTool",false);
strip = (ToolStrip) tscontrol[0];

The AddButtonToToolbar() method of the sample code in that help guide section will provide information on how to accomplish this.
