Draw Tool Feature Request #2

Making individual Drawing Objects invisible is very useful, but if there are a lot of objects on a chart it's very tedious to go through, especially if one just wants a quick look at an uncluttered chart.

It would be very helpful to have a "make all drawing objects invisible/visible" menu item on the main Draw Tool menu, alongside the existing "Remove all Drawing Objects" item.

Thank you for writing in. I am currently investigating this to determine if it is already supposed to be possible in the current version. If it is determined that this is the case, I will provide you instructions on how to do this, otherwise I will submit a feature request on your behalf. I will update this post as soon as possible.

Thanks Michael - I actually thought it was there, but couldn't find anything in the documentation.
In the meantime I coded a simple hotkey to toggle visibility, but it does seem something that ought to be inbuilt.

Hello palinuro,

You would follow these instructions to make all draw objects visible or invisible:
1) Right click on a drawing tool and select "Properties".
2) Select the first drawing object in the list
3) Shift + Click on the last drawing object in the list
NOTE: You can also Ctrl + Click to select specific drawing objects to change
4) Uncheck the "Visible" checkbox
5) Press OK

Currently this does not work due to a bug. I have submitted a bug report for this issue as you should be able to select all drawing tools and set them to either visible or not visible. This will likely be fixed in the next release.
