Two feature requests

Not sure if this is the correct place to post these, but here goes... Both new features are very practical + useful and have been available in TradeStation for years :

1. Alert function to Line drawing tool. This makes price level alerts, whether horizontal or diagonally based SO simple. I used it every day in TS.

2. Possibility to place a trailing stop to an open trade. Eg. say you have an open trade with ATM management, but the swing appears to be developing into a longer trend. In TS, you can cancel the child orders and simply add a trailing stop; in Ninja, you have to keep manually moving the orders.

Hello jtrade,

1. NinjaTrader 8 supports such functionality. If you right click the line, you can select 'Alerts' which will open the Alerts window to configure the alert as you like.


2. This is possible in NinjaTrader 7 using the steps below. You need to keep your stop loss and profit target orders. If you cancel these, it is not possible.

Please right click the stop loss order in either the buy or sell column of the SuperDOM. If the stop loss order is a buy order, please right click in the buy order. If it is a sell order, please right click the order in the sell column.

Select AutoTrail Properties. You can now setup the AutoTrail stop strategy as you like. Once finished, please click OK.

Right click the stop loss once more and select 'Auto Trail' to enable it.
