Because it has been exported as a compiled assembly and obfuscated, I am not allowed to post it here on the forums.. But it is now available at the following link..

Thanks a lot Edge! Your add-on works flawlessly, and it's even better than the image saving feature in NT7, because it takes just one click to get an image. Great work, thank you!

                    Please add my "vote" ?!!??

It actually might be nice to have a little 'share' icon on the chart taskbar. Then we could select a default sharing method that would be triggered by the icon: twitter, or save to file...

In the mean time I am using the windows "snipping tool".

Save as Image - possible improvement

Thank you very much for bringing finally back a useful Save-as-Image option with Beta 10 (works even with a hotkey).

Could you please check the default naming of the output file? Currently the file is defaulted for example as "ES 06-16 (5 Minute) 4_1_2016.png", which will lead to a weird fileorder once you have several screenshots in a folder. "...4_1_2016.png" will be followed by "...4_11_2016.png", then "...4_12_2016.png" and only several files below you will find "...4_2_2016.png".

Initial wish: bring back double-digit formatting , such as "ES 06-16 (5 Minute) 04_01_2016.png" .

Extended wish: switch to a format such as "..._yyyy_mm_dd.png", providing easy sort-order over ALL screenshots in one folder, example "ES 06-16 (5 Minute) 2016_04_01.png".

"Perferct world wish:" we get an option to adjust the default naming somewhere in NT8 (format and included naming parts)

That is a good find. I've re-opened the developer's ticket on this feature to see if we can make that change.

                              Hello RonnyKeller,

The suggestion has been added to the list and has been assigned to SFT-1318.

Our next beta version (8.0.0.11) will use the date format of YYYY-MM-DD.

                                Hi Jason
Seems we're not there yet. I installed Beta 11 now, just to find out that someone added more "feature" than needed. My idea was to use a default filename such as "<dataseries> YYYY_MM_DD.jpg" in order to provide a useful sorting order once an folder gets crowded with many screenshots over several months.

Right now I have a 5-Min. intraday chart of the ES on my screen, and according to the current zoom-setting and window-size this chart happens to show a width of two and a half days. "Save image" suggests now a default such as "ES 06-16 (5 Minute) 2016_05_19 - 2016_05_23.png" - addressing all days currently visible.

                                a) This filename-suggestion will change randomly now with every other attempt, depending on how many intraday bars are currently visible and whether e.g. the prior day happens to be visible or not, based on window-resizing and zooming - pretty chaotic and unstructured. A screen shot right after the Open could get a different name than one in the final hour

                                b) even IF someone asked for a RANGE-based name (from day - to day), it should be used the other way round (to day - from day) in order to keep charts of the current day together - in this example here "ES 06-16 (5 Minute) 2016_05_23 - 2016_05_19.png". With the actual implementation there could be for example the following order:
                                "ES 06-16 (5 Minute) 2016_05_12 - 2016_05_23.png"
                                "ES 06-16 (5 Minute) 2016_05_14 - 2016_05_20.png"
                                "ES 06-16 (5 Minute) 2016_05_16 - 2016_05_16.png"
                                -> going back and forth between different days (23 -> 20 -> 16)

The Filename-Default used to be based on the last day visible on the chart only and I think that solution was fine - but with that small switch in the naming-order. So, a fine solution would be "ES 06-16 (5 Minute) 2016_05_23.png" in this example above - no matter how many other days happen to be visible to the left.
