Draw Tool Bugs - Disaapearances etc

I'm getting a lot of erratic behavior from the Draw Tools, especially Region Highlight Y (the one I'm mostly trying to use).

It draws correctly, but changing properties often causes the object to disappear (though the object may still be listed in the box). Also, setting it to display on all charts is erratic, sometimes it works and sometimes not, and sometimes that action causes it to disappear.

Also, the copy function doesn't seem to work at all.

Just a further note, the draw objects also save erratically with workspaces and templates - this morning I opened a chart that was saved with 6 objects, but came up with only 1.

I have been playing around with the Region Highlight Y tool, but it has not disappeared so far when changing its properties. Do you notice any consistency between the occurrences? Perhaps it only disappears when a certain setting is changed? I will need to find a reproducible scenario to further troubleshoot.

It shows in other charts as well when I enable it for all charts. Could it be the region in question is not part of the Y-axis in the affected charts?

The Copy function works here as well. It copies the new Region Highlight Y object just below the existing one. Do you have the latest beta version installed (8.0.0.5)? You can check this at Control Center-->Help-->About.



What drawing objects did you apply in this chart?

Am I correct the 5 missing objects are not listed in the Drawing Objects window that opens by right click chart-->Drawing Tools-->Drawing Objects?

Drawing objects are saved in the workspace. Did the chart automatically open when you started NinjaTrader or did you open it at Control Center-->New-->Chart?

Hi Jason,

thanks for your reponse, it's the latest (public) Beta. There were no other drawing objects, and it was in the main price panel, but the behavior was completely erratic, I never knew what would trigger it.

Since I posted I've moved to a new installation on a new machine, and for now it seems to be working properly, though it did at first on the other machine too. (But now I have no real-time updates on charts ! - just wrote a separate post)

If it happens again I'll do a video to illustrate it.
