    Default for MaximumBarsLookBack?

    Somewhere I thought I read that NT8 was going to default to
    MaximumBarsLookBack = MaximumBarsLookBack.Infinite
    but I find myself adding that line to every indicator. I just don't want to mess with MaximumBarsLookBack.TwoHundredFiftySix in this modern age.

    1. Am I wrong?
    2. Is there any reason for wizard-generated indicators to use 256?
    3. Could/should this line be added by the wizard?

    Thanks,
    Dale

    Hello,

    We are still defaulting to .TwoHundredFiftySix to provide leaner performance by default. Our approach to this property is that it should only be set to infinite when specifically needed. Otherwise, it is a best practice to conserve the resources used by .Infinite for other uses. It is not included in the Wizard since it has such a specific use case, and since a maximum lookback of 256 suffices in most instances.

    That being said, I can certainly log the suggestion so we can track demand, if you would like.
