B4 NSE Region Highlighting and Indentation Lines

In the NSE, the automatic region/method/etc highlighting when mousing over the margin is useful, but can it be made optional, please? It becomes extremely distracting when one moves the mouse over the margin in the process of moving around the editor in the normal course of editing and that motion causes flashes of the highlighting.

Also, it would be good if, when enabled, the indentation lines could be "soft" (e.g. dotted or low impact colour) rather than solid white (in the Slate Gray skin), or even have the option of which line style to have.
