If you right click on the properties window, go into the fonts (it only seems to apply to fonts) , you can check the "Bold" checkmark to turn it on. Hit Apply. Now uncheck the bold and hit apply again and you'll see no change is made. In fact when you go into the properties, hit bold, then apply, then try changing the font size, hit apply, and nothing changes.
So basically after you change one sitting, hit apply, no further changes can be made to the font without closing the window and opening it back up again.
