    Unable to clear out cache data

    BETA3: I am getting this error at startup.:
    "Unable to clear out cache data"

    2015-07-15 17:52:49:661 ERROR: Data.Bars.ClearCache: System.IO.IOException: The process cannot access the file 'C:\Users\Greg\Documents\NinjaTrader 8\db\cache\Nymex Metals - Energy ETH.Eastern Standard Time\TICK\HG 09-15\Range_1_1_Last_Close_Tick_Minute_1.201507091800 .209912010000.Last.ntt' because it is being used by another process.

    Thank you for your post.

    If you have any security, anti-virus, anti-malware, and/or backup software running, try temporarily disabling it and testing again. It is possible the file is being accessed by another process first and NinjaTrader is being denied access due to this.

      I tried to disable the Anti-Virus software, still happens... Always the same file.

      I manually clear the "/db/cache/" folder and this seems to have solved the problem. I will let you know if it happens again.

        Thank you for your post.

        Good example of importance of excluding critical NT files from indexing and malware scanning. As mentioned elsewhere this needs to be covered in documentation such as performance tips or operational instructions of help file.
