Managed vs Unmanaged

Hi,
One of the reasons I went with the Unmanaged approach in my NT7 strategy was because I could have a bracketed set of orders (one going long, the other going short at the same time).

Is this still the case in NT8? If not is there a good reason NOT to switch to a managed approach?

Put another way, why use on over the other?

Hello,

The differences between the Managed and Unmanaged approach have not changed much at a fundamental level in NinjaTrader 8. Any advantage that you gained from switching to Unmanaged in NinjaTrader 7 will still be valid in NinjaTrader 8.

The primary advantage of using the Unmanaged approach is the precise control that it affords over placing, modifying, or canceling your orders any way you wish, without having any advanced order handling logic being run in the background to eliminate potentially unwanted positions.
