Strategy Analyzer Settings Area

Hey,
After I created a folder for my system and drag and dropped this into this folder, then I renamed the folder.

So I don't know if I get this error: 2015-05-29 18:48:48:591|3|4|Unable to restore strategy 'NinjaTrader.NinjaScript.Strategies.MSFGBL' with ID '44312300'. Most likely this strategy no longer is supported by the custom assemblies.

because of drag and drop the strategy into the folder or because of renaming this folder.

That weren't a big deal but since this error I can't do any backtests anymore.
Attached u will find a picture of the Strategy Analyzer .. I can't see anything at the Settings area, so that I can't select a strategy / instrument or anything else ..

Hello,

Thank you for reporting this to us. When this would occur in NinjaTrader 7, it was usually because of an issue with the database, related to a strategy that had been enabled in the Control Center no longer being found.

Can you please try to reset your database, then exit and re-launch NinjaTrader, and see if the issue persists?

I don't have the error in the log anymore but still can't run any backtests because I can't see the Strategy Analyzer Settings Area anymore (see attachment from the first post)
if I click on run I get the attached error.

Thank you for the update. Just to be certain -- this is still happening after the database reset?

Can you please tell me the exact steps you took right before this error occurred? Which folder did you move, and where did you move it to? I'd like to see if I can reproduce the issue on my end.

I will try to be as detailed as possible
I ran a few backtests and got different errors with the same strategy
if I took a continuous contract I got this error: 2015-05-29 16:05:17:508|3|2|Market data failed for 'FGBL ##-##': 'The subscription to this instrument has been aborted. Dependent network services and/or data were not available' (datafeed = Rithmic)

if I took the FGBL 06-15 I got always the error that I would acces an index which is out of range but the specific error is different (the part 'method on bar X'

(I just tested it again, didn't made any change at the code)

At this time a had 1 strategy in the Strategies folder in the Ninjascript editor.
Then I created a subfolder in the Strategies folder in the Ninjascript editor where I created a new Strategy and moved the existing strategy from the Strategies folder to the subfolder.
After I finished the second Strategy I tried to rename the folder (got a message that I have to close the strategies first) after I closed the strategies I was able to rename the folder.

Then I wanted to backtest the strategy, so I started the Strategy Analyzer but wasn't able to test anymore.

Thank you for the description, that definitely helps. Can I ask one more thing to help me to reproduce the issue on my end -- how did you move the strategy into the new folder that had been created in the NinjaScript Editor? When you create a new folder via the Editor, it actually creates a new namespace rather than a folder on your PC, and as far as I know there is not a way to move existing scripts into that namespace via the Editor, but I could be missing something.

per drag & drop in the editor so I dragged the strategy which was in the Strategies folder and dropped it in the subfolder
'Once you have created your new folder, using your mouse you can drag and drop any custom scripts of it's category under this folder.'

I tested a bit and I'm able to reproduce the error now.
Creating a new folder in the Ninjascript Editor under Strategies is ok but as soon as u create a new Strategy in this subfolder u can't run backtests anymore.
After removing the strategy from the subfolder it's working fine again.
