Tooltips

In the FX Board Properties window, almost all the tooltips for the settings appear to be nothing more than the name of the setting.

I'm very much in favour of tooltips -- they're essential to a good UI. However, tooltips need to be helpful by adding additional information.

My recommendation: tooltips everywhere possible, BUT only if the tooltip has meaningful explanatory text or additional information. If the tooltip is just a clone of the name of the thing being tooltipped, don't do it.
