Chart does not load historical data

I opened a chart for EURUSD. I was connected to my provider (FXCM). There was no historical data on the chart. I reloaded all historical data. It cleared the data that had accumulated over a few minutes and provided no data at all except the current bar.

The same process in NT7 worked perfectly.

Currently historical data for FXCM is not available on the NinjaTrader servers for NinjaTrader 8 however our Development Team is currently looking into this further.

In the meantime if you would like to receive historical data from FXCM please use the steps I have provided below to change your configuration:

• Disconnect
• Connections-->Configure
• Select your FXCM connection
• Uncheck "NinjaTrader historical data server"
• Click Ok
• Connect

Given that FXCM is the backend provider for NinjaTrader FXCM brokerage accounts, I do hope this can be addressed sooner rather than later.

Thanks for reporting this was actually a bug where beta 1 did not actually try to use the NinjaTrader Historical Data Servers for historical data even though it is checked in the configuration options.

This will be fixed in beta 2 and is #8245.
