is it possible to run a strategy on a paper trade account from IB and a simulated account using kinetic at the same time? How can this be done?

Thanks for your post.

You can connect to Kinetick first to have all data come from Kinetick and then Interactive Brokers second. You then can select in the account drop down menu what account you want to trade to. This is the same as NinjaTrader 7.

If you want to for example get futures data from Kinetick and equities from Interactive Brokers you can set up the desired realtime/historical data provider for these under Tools> Options> Market Data

A single strategy could indeed be programmed to do this in NinjaTrader 8, however managed strategies would not have a concept of multiple accounts.

Unless i'm misunderstanding, you can theoretically do this with NinjaTrader 7 too just by opening multiple instances of the same strategy on the strategies tab of the Control Center, if you have not tried that before.
