Strange Strategy behaviour

I have been using NT 7 - 0.22 since it was released. Today for the first time I typed a new instrument into an existing chart window, and ever since then my daily charts will go blank whenever I enable an existing known good strategy I created. I even went into a debugger and see the chart data in the debugger, but it never displays any longer. I tried restarting my computer. I forget how to clear out NT as I think it has gone funky before.

I also just downloaded NT 7 - RC1, but decided not to install it until I got back to a working state. Note that the same strategy works fine on anything lower than daily and it has been working for a long time on daily before today. Please let me know how to proceed?

I figured something out, although I don't know exactly what happened. The strategies have their own selection for instrument. So even if the chart is of X, the strategy can be running on Y! Then the chart goes blank! This is really strange behavior and should be fixed. Anyway, I'm open if there is something else that is wrong here...

I am adding this to my question:
If I want to run a strategy on input data (for signals) on instrument X, but then I want to buy and sell Y, how can I do that? I am programming, not using the wizard.

First step is to evaluate this behavior on RC1. If you see the same thing, please share a sample script and the steps needed to see it.
