Setting Hotkeys

I'm having trouble actually setting a hotkey for order entries.

When I try to set something as simple as say B, for Buy at Market, it says 'B is not a valid shortcut'.

It will let me set something like 'control 1', for a market buy though.

No doubt there is a very easy solution.

When using hot keys, you will need to assign a modifier like, ALT, SHIFT or CTRL to the key combination.

If I still get the same message, 'XXX is not a valid shortcut' even when using a modifier, does that mean that the particular hotkey is already associated with something?

So that I may better advise, can you provide me with the modifier, the key and the function you're trying to set?

For example, I tried to set 'Buy Bid' for 'Control A'.

Then I get the response, 'A is not a valid shortcut'.

Thanks for the clarification.

CTRL + A is actually a pre-defined short cut in the software. Any other modifier should allow you to use 'A' for this setting, however.
