    DOM not Populating

I am connected to DTNIQ feed (version 4.7.0.9) and using NT 7 RC1 32 bit. (I was using 64 bit until the ZenFire issue was announced).

Under the 'Orders' tab in Control Centre, the Bid, Ask and Last values are populated. However, the static DOM does not populate and it does not matter which instrument is selected.
Also, in the 'Instrument' drop down list (in the DOM) I have an old instrument listed, but this is not listed under the 'Default' instrument list and is not listed on the 'Orders' tab.

The DOM populates fine when connected to ZenFire.

    Any ideas?

    Hello FatCanary,

Am I correct your IQFeed subscription does not include Level 2 data? Unfortunately you will need to be subscribed to Level 2 data with IQFeed in order to receive their data in the NinjaTrader SuperDOM.

Please note that you require IQFeed Client version 4.7.1.3 as per the IQFeed connection guide at the link below.

What exact old instrument is listed in the SuperDOM drop down instrument menu? Does it still display after a restart of NinjaTrader?

Hi Jason, thanks for the reply.

No, I'm not subscribed to Level 2 data. When did they change their policy? I used to get the DOM populated and I've never subscribed to Level 2.

The old instrument is YM 03-10 and it's been there for a while, I just didn't bother to address the issue.

This has been the case for quite some time. Before the first production release of NinjaTrader 6.5 back in 2008, you were able to receive data with just L1 data. However this was due to a bug in the IQFeed adapter.

What happens if you delete the YM in the Instrument Manager and subsequently you reset your instruments at Control Center-->Tools-->Options-->Data-tab and click Reset Instruments. Does it still list the YM 03-10 in the SuperDOM?

I've emailed DTN support and they are saying I need market depth. So, that's that problem sorted :-)

As for the YM listing issue...
...I have removed YM from instrument list but YM 12-10 and YM 03-10 still show in the DOM list.

Can you please restart NinjaTrader and check if the YM 03-10 is still listed.

I had already done that but have just restarted again; YM is still there.

You could try transferring your database, however it contains other data as well, such as trade history, ATM templates, session templates.

While NinjaTrader is closed, please go to (My) Documents-->NinjaTrader 7-->db and transfer the NinjaTrader(sdf) outside the db folder.

Start NinjaTrader and check if the YM 03-10 is still reflected.

Attached is a screenshot of the contents at the following location:
                  C:\Users\...\Documents\NinjaTrader 7\db

                  I don't appear to have NinjaTrader(sdf).

I see database files are specified different on your PC. You will need to transfer the 'NinjaTrader' file which is 8,969 KB large. The .sdf or SQL Server CE file named 'NinjaTrader' in the db folder will be used as database.

Once you transferred the current database, it will create a fresh new one automatically when you start NinjaTrader.

                      Hi Jason

                      Yes, that fixed it.

Seems a bit drastic though as I've now lost, for example, my ATM Strategy templates, and all to just remove one superfluous instrument :-(

Yes, I understand. However I did not see another way.

You can always restore the old database and you will be able to use your ATM templates and other data again. However likely it will display the YM 03-10 again in the SuperDOM as well.

                          DOM Instrument List

                          Hi

                          It's happened again :-(
YM 03-10 has reappeared in my DOM Instrument list. As far as I can tell it doesn't appear anywhere else.

                            Hello,

Is the superDOM linked by any chance, (aka has a color selected in the link button on the top right hand corner of the superDOM?)?

I look forward to assisting you further.
