    b23 Zenfire server

    Hi,
    Is there any way I can return to the previously used Zenfire server?

    I am having severe problems with the new one making it completely unusable:

    1. It very often lags badly.
    2. Yesterday, when the 10 AM news came out, NT simply 'lost' the 3 point move, and never recovered. Even 10 minutes later, although it was correctly showing the relative price movement, it was still 3 points below the actual market!

    I have now switched to IB as a data source, but I was not having any problems with ZenFire until this switch to a new server.

    Thank you for your post.

    Please send your Log & Trace files for NinjaTrader for the date that this took place. We will need to look for what may have taken place that could have lead to this issue.

    You can send them through the NinjaTrader platform by going to Help > Mail to Support…

      Thanks, I've done that. Meanwhile, is it possible to return to the previously used Zenfire servers?

        Data Gaps

        Zenfire Data feed has missing data on TF. Is there a problem with the data feed servers?

          You will need to ask your broker if they can provide you with alternate connection options.

            OK, thanks Ray.

            However, there is something very strange going on with my new Zenfire connection, and I don't believe it could entirely be their servers - yesterday my price bars were being formed 10 minutes behind the actual market time (there was a 10 minute delay before the chart started RTH), and today they were 5 minutes behind.

            I'm attaching two jpegs I sent to support (but which got me nowhere - this really can't be a problem with historical servers or my computer clock). In the first, note the DateTime stamp printed in the upper right corner of the chart, compared to the 9:35 bar forming. In the second, compare the bars in NT / Zenfire to IB's TWS.

            The problems go away when I switch to IB as a datafeed.

              When you see lag, try disconnect then reconnect. Does this resolve the issue? Time stamps come from Zen-Fire thus if monitoring Time & Sales window (as an example) you start seeing delayed time stamps, try a reconnect. What this does is kill the connection of buffered data that has not yet made it to your PC. If your connection can't handle all the data that Zen-Fire is sending out, you will start creating a buffer of data that has yet to be sent from the server to your PC. If this issue persists, please contact your broker for connection points that will connect you to filtered data.
