    P&F wrong High/Low

    Hi,

after installing NT7.0.0.23 I have a new problem. Point & Figure chart does not update(?) highs and lows properly. I can see one or two ticks difference. Attached JPG explains what I mean.
There was not such thing in previous BETA version. I use exactly the same settings, chart template, workspaces, indicators.

    Hello Kowall,

    Thank you for your post.

In attempting to recreate this issue on my end, I noticed that the “End Date” was set to 10/26/2010.

Please clarify if this is what you wanted to have set.

    Thank you,

      Hi Chip,

I wanted to set that, because it was market replay (for demonstration purpose). I attach 6E chart I have just "produced" two minutes ago on live market. I used the same settings as last time.
Two ticks difference between Low[0] and last price. Orange horizontal line shows last traded price. I attach this indi also, so you can save some time to reproduce it.

        Hello Kowal,

I referenced this 6E instrument using a time-based chart to check the price but I am not seeing this errant price (see screenshot).

Please check this on your end & let me know if you still see an out price at this 19:38 time.

        Thank you,

          Chip,

19:38 was not an issue. 21:18 shows two ticks difference. Sorry for drawing an arrow which misleads you.

            Chip,

I have been watching 6E this morning. Still the same problems. P&F do not follow the price correctly. I was able to see even five (5) ticks difference.
I attach another JPG. Even volume profile on right side of chart shows traded levels on top.

When viewing Point and Figure charts this can be expected. I have provided a link below to our Help Guide that goes over understanding Point and Figure charts.

You are kidding or you did not read my posts. Either way it is not what I expect from NT support. Or this is also expected?
I use one (1) tick box size. So this behavior is NOT expected.
I have also noticed that there is no new bar after reaching reversal setting. In my case they revers after 6,7 or even 8 ticks instead 5.
To sum up, after installing last NT version P&F charts do not work.

                  Kowel,

Its hard to tell from your screenshot. If your refering to the last price ticking inside of the PnF bar this is expected and what Chris was reffering too.

However if your refering to the lows not being the same. Please see the below attachment. On my side they are the same, are you seeing differently. if so I would need to get reproducible steps to see the same error on my side.

                    Hi Brett,

attached another pics from todays session. If you have any additional question about reproducing let me know.
About new high. So, if I have one tick box size, how many ticks greeter then last high are needed to get new high? Correct answer is: just one. Am I right?
                    BTW, thanks for constructive post.

You are building your P&F from minute data. If you want the behavior you expect, please use tick data. P&F bar will update only when underlying minute bar will close.
                      This behavior is by design.
