How to install a previous build (22)

Version 7 build 23 keeps crashing on me when running in Replay. Build 22 was solid for me. I need to run in replay to write some realtime code for monday morning. I've done the email to support thing but I assume they would respond before monday.

I need a way to reinstall version 7 build 22.

xTrader1 describes a way to get at a previous version by modifying (?) the .msi file. I think his instructions are for Windows XP. Could someone please describe how to do this in Windows 7 or perhaps someone can send me the appropriate file.

    thanks,
    shawnj

Can anyone tell me how to reinstall an earlier beta version?

It seems most effecient to join in here, as I have the same question as shawnj. It looks like this question might have been answered in a pm. Could someone please share the answer here?

I am running Windows XP and xTrader1's instruction don't work with it either. I want to reinstall beta 20, since that seems to be the last version that gives decent backtest results with my multi-time frame strategies. I always save my NT install files in a separate folder, but when I try to reinstall beta 20 all I get is beta 23 again!

Unfortunately, as we've seen, beta 23 is hopeless for backtesting certain types of complex strategies (e.g. multi-series strategies and strategies with stops and profit targets).

        Hello raintree,

Unfortunately we do not have version 7.0.0.20 available. We only provide version 7.0.0.23 on our download page. This version is RC1 (release candidate 1).

Can you please tell me what issues you experience when backtesting strategies in version 7.0.0.23.

          What's wrong with this picture?

Hello Jason, thanks for responding. I reckon this picture is worth 1K words, but here's what I see happening here:

Two trades (green lines) in this screenshot from Stategy Analyzer (beta 23) have worked correctly. Nice going but no cigar.

Three trades (red lines) did not work correctly. The Exit for the first one occurs off screen, long after several prior Exit signals have been IGNORED. Obviously also the Entries per direction = 1 setting is being ignored.

The Exits for the other two borked trades occur BEFORE the Entries! (assuming the normal blue triangle = Entry, red triangle = Exit convention applies; otherwise, if the convention is reversed, it means the Exits occur NOWHERE NEAR the market price).

I think these errors provide some pretty healthy diagnostic hints for Development. Please pass it on.
